Republic of Moldova has obtained the title of “country with open doors in the paradise of wine”, because wine production is the basic occupation of Moldavians. Anybody is welcomed here. Far from the borders of republic there is a well-known appreciated and preferred production of the MILESTII MICI Winery, the oldest place of storage of the “holy drink”.
In 2005 was registered in the Guinness World Records as the biggest wine collection in the world with 1.5 million bottles of wine at that time. With 55 km ( around 34 miles) of cellars and a total length of 200 km (124 miles) each street in the cellar is name after a different type of wine.
When you go there, you need to make a reservation in advance and make sure you save a spot in your car for the tour guide. After you visit the cellars, stay a little longer for the food and traditional music and of course a glass or two of the amazing wine. 70% is red, 20% white and 10% dessert wine. They have VIP Series, Collection Wines, Aged wines and High Quality.
