EPA Official Resigns Over Flint Water Crisis

Susan Hedman, administrator for the Environmental Protection Agency has resigned amid the crisis over Flint, Michigan’s toxic drinking water. The EPA also released a statement, saying in part, “EPA has determined the State of Michigan and the City of Flint’s responses to the drinking water crisis in Flint have been inadequate to protect public health”. Her resignation is effective February 1st, 2016. President Obama called the EPA’s response to the crisis “inexplicable and inexcusable”.
