Chinese artist – Zheng Chunhui – he’s entered the Guinnes Book of Records for the longest wood carving more than 12 metres long (40ft). His art, being carved in over four years, is a detailed replica of ‘Along the River during the Qingming Festival’, a well-known conventional CHINESE painting credited to Song Dynasty artist Zhang Zeduan (1085–1145). It captures the landscape of the capital, Bianjing and the everyday life of individuals.
The first scroll has an abundance of buildings, creatures, and trees, along with over 800 individuals inside. A river runs through the whole bit, dividing the chaotic city roads and the countryside. Zeduan needed to celebrate camaraderie and the spirit of the renowned festival.
