Turmeric or tumeric is a perennial plant of the ginger family, commonly used as a spice in Bangladeshi cuisine, Indian cuisine, Iranian cuisine, Pakistani cuisine and curries, for dyeing, and to impart color to mustard condiments. It is native to southern Asia, requiring temperatures between 20 and 30 °C (68 and 86 °F) and a considerable amount of annual rainfall to thrive.
Some of the main benefits include: anti-inflammtory which helps relieve pain, helps balance blood sugar levels helping moderate insulin levels, anti-microbrial properties, supports detoxification, reduces cholesterol level, helps with acne, wrinkles, scars and dark circles, cleans out your arteries.




Turmeric also helps with skin inflammation from radiation treatment, and fatigue, overall decreased cancer risk, cardiovascular benefits used together with other spices like garlic, black peppers, cinnamon and clove.
Other uses include Crohn’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, bypass surgery, hemorrhage, diarrhea, intestinal gas, stomach bloating, loss of appetite, headaches, bronchitis, colds, lung infections, fibromyalgia, liver problems, menstrual problems, urinary bladder inflammation and kidney problems.
