A Day In Labadee, Haiti

The only way to get there, is going on a cruise with Royal Caribbean. They made this part of the Island, more like your own private little escape, they even move the food stations right there on the beach so you don’t have do anything.

From the port to the beach it’s a 10 min walk, just because you will stop to listen the locals playing music.
They have so many water activities and my favorite was the amazing ZipLine over the water. They say it’s the longest Zipline over the water in the world. Once you finish, you just want to go back up there and do it again.

I was afraid to do it in the beginning, because of that feeling you have when you are on a roller coaster but, not with this. They take you first for a little ‘trial run’. They call it Little Dragon and explain you how to hold, how to speed or slow down and how to prepare for stop. When you get up there, the view it’s amazing, you feel like flying over the emerald green water.

I love to see the sights, so I grabbed my cameras and walked around. First thing I saw was a gate on top of a hill so I was curious.

After you pass this gate, you will be able to see an amazing view of waves smashing the yellow gold rocks.

In the same little corner of this Island, the rocks are “singing” – that’s what a local man told me, when I asked him, probably like a million other tourists, “what was that sound?”

If you like to stay in the sun and do nothing… this is the place where you should go. On both sides of the Island, the beach has everything you need…of course for the right price.
Let’s not forget the local market, where let’s say the locals are a little to excited to see you but you can find unique souvenirs hand painted or wood carved by the locals.

Before I left, I wanted to find a last perfect view for this day.
