South Florida news agencies are reporting that The President and Chief Executive Officer of Broward Health, Dr. Nabil El Sanadi, died Saturday, of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. El Sanadi was appointed to the leadership position in 2014 and was vocal about social issues in Broward County. Broward Health, one of the 10 largest health systems in the country, recently reached a $69 million settlement with the Federal Government after being accused of system wide corruption. Broward Sheriffs Office deputies were called to the doctor’s Lauderdale by the Sea home this past Saturday after a shooting was reported. There they found El Sanadi dead.
