Austrian skydiver, daredevil and BASE jumper, Felix Baumgartner is best known for his participation in the Red Bull Stratos project, in which he jumped to Earth from a helium balloon on 14 October 2012, becoming the first human being to break the speed of sound in freefall, jumping from stratosphere. His jump was live on YouTube, and watched by 8 million people just in that moment. Today he has more then 50 million views.
“It was an incredible up and down today, just like it’s been with the whole project. First we got off with a beautiful launch and then we had a bit of drama with a power supply issue to my visor. The exit was perfect but then I started spinning slowly. I thought I’d just spin a few times and that would be that, but then I started to speed up. It was really brutal at times. I thought for a few seconds that I’d lose consciousness. I didn’t feel a sonic boom because I was so busy just trying to stabilize myself. We’ll have to wait and see if we really broke the sound barrier. It was really a lot harder than I thought it was going to be.” Baumgartner said Red Bull Stratos

His bio is very impressive: 14 world records with his BASE jumps all over the planet, he was guest at all the main TV shows around the world, from USA, to Australia, Asia, Europe. He is a global speaker who can inspire people on achieving their goals, he is keep being awarded not only for specific performances, but for the entire career – from Laureus Award 2013, to Bambi Millennium, Guy Choice Award in Hollywood where he received the MANKIND AWARD, NEA Extreme Sports Awards, Steiger Awards, National Geographic’s Adventurer of the year, CNN’s Man of the Year 2012.
His dream it was to show everyone that he can fly, and he did it.
He lives to inspire everyone to believe in their dreams. Just a few days ago, another of his dreams was fulfilled, a Zeppelin Jump.
