A FHP Trooper was run down by a vehicle that failed to follow the law. Mac Mickens was struck by a vehicle as he walked back to his cruiser after pulling over another driver on the Florida Turnpike. Florida has a law obligating drivers to slow down and move over a lane away from emergency vehicles stopped on the road. Evidently the driver that struck him didn’t know or didn’t care.
