74-year-old Maria Riffe apparently froze to death on her front lawn while her husband laid helpless about 20 yards from her. She apparently went outside to help her husband, who had fallen out of his wheelchair. He was wearing a jacket and survived, but the under-clothed Riffe was unable to endure the cold winter night.
